Abstract
AMONG THE TOPICS DISCUSSED ARE THE GOALS OF WORK-RELEASE, THE CRITERIA FOR ACCEPTABLE EMPLOYMENT, THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE WORK RELEASE ADMINISTRATOR, THE PROGRAM-EMPLOYER RELATIONSHIP, WORK RELEASE STAFF RESPONSIBILITIES TO THE EMPLOYER, UNIONS, DEVELOPING A POOL OF EMPLOYERS, AND CHANGE OF EMPLOYMENT. GUIDELINES ON WORKING OUT A TRANSPORTATION PLAN ARE REVIEWED. SEVERAL TRANSPORTATION OPTIONS ARE DISCUSSED, INCLUDING TRANSPORTATION BY THE WIFE, FELLOW WORKER, OR EMPLOYER, CABS AND CARPOOLS, WALKING, PUBLIC AND PRIVATE BUS LINES, OR THE USE OF VOLUNTEERS. AN OUTLINE OF THE MAJOR KINDS OF SELF-DEVELOPMENT ACTIVITIES, INCLUDING INSTRUCTIONAL ACTIVITIES, INFORMATIONAL ACTIVITIES, THERAPEUTIC ACTIVITIES, COMMUNITY SERVICE, AND RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES IS PROVIDED.
