Abstract
These data from the 2013 Commercial Victimization Survey (CVS) examine the extent of crime against businesses in England and Wales. The 2013 CVS focused on premises in four industry sectors defined by the UK Standard Industrial Classification 2007 (SIC): A (agriculture, forestry and fishing), G (wholesale and retail trade), I (accommodation and food services activities) and R (arts, entertainment and recreation). Between them, these four sectors account for just over one-third of all business premises in England and Wales. Extent of crime against business premises for the core CVS crime types include: burglary; vandalism; vehicle-related theft; robbery; assaults and threats; theft; and fraud; online crime; metal and fuel theft; chemical and livestock theft; organized crime; and reporting of incidents to the police.
