Abstract
Police statistics on homicides and general assaults; sexual offenses; robbery, extortion, and larceny; property offenses; and motor vehicle and traffic offenses are given. Court statistics cover charges and pleas by case outcomes according to various offenses, sentences imposed, duration of the proceedings, appeals, and dispositions by plea and type of court. Corrections data include information on the prison population, characteristics of inmates, and probation and parole cases. Finally, juvenile court statistics cover the number of appearances by age, offense, sex, etc., and other issues. Explanatory notes, definitions, and a data collection form are appended.
