This report presents Nebraska Uniform Crime Report statistics on eight Index offenses, arrest data, law enforcement employee data, and other information for 1980.

Abstract

Nebraska crime trends over the period 1976-80 are mentioned as are the number of officers killed and assaulted. Arrest and offense data by county are included. The report indicates that Index offenses reported in 1980 increased 22 percent over 1976. Murder and manslaughter increased 48 percent, forcible rape increased 14 percent, and burglary increased 36 percent. All other Index offenses also increased over 1976. Many tables and graphs are supplied.
