Abstract
THE CRITIQUE CONCLUDES THAT THE AVERAGE OFFENDER IS NOT A SICK PERSON IN NEED OF PSYCHIATRIC CARE AND WE SHOULD NOT EXPECT PSYCHIATRY OR PSYCHOLOGY TO PROVIDE THE SOLUTIONS TO THE FUNDAMENTAL DILEMMAS OF CRIMINOLOGY AND PENAL POLICY. (AUTHOR ABSTRACT)
