PROJECT DESIGNED TO PROVIDE EXPERT ADVISORY SERVICES TO STATE AND LOCAL COURTS, PROSECUTOR OFFICES, AGENCIES PROVIDING DEFENSE SERVICES TO INDIGENT DEFENDANTS AND CRIMINAL JUSTICE PLANNING AGENCIES.
Abstract
THIS PROJECT, CONDUCTED UNDER A CONTRACT BETWEEN THE AMERICAN UNIVERSITY AND LEAA, IS CARRIED OUT THROUGH TWO MEANS - BY MAKING AVAILABLE THE PERSONAL SERVICES OF APPROPRIATE SPECIALISTS FOR ON-SITE WORK IN A CLIENT JURISDICTION; AND BY DOCUMENTATION AND DISSEMINATION OF TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE EXPERIENCES FOR THEIR POTENTIAL UTILITY IN OTHER JURISDICTIONS. THIS REPORT GIVES GIVES SUMMARY DATA ON TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE ACTIVITIES THROUGH MAY 31, 1974, AND REPRESENTATIVE TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE ASSIGNMENTS ARE ALSO SUMMARIZED. A LIST OF COMPLETED TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE REPORTS IS INCLUDED ALONG WITH A TABULATION OF CLIENT RESPONSES EVALUATING THE PROJECT.
