Abstract
THIS REPORT PRESENTS THE FINDINGS OF AN ANALYSIS OF THE REQUIREMENTS FOR CRIMINALISTICS SERVICES TO MEET THE NEEDS OF THE CRIMINAL JUSTICE COMMUNITY OF THE STATE OF FLORIDA FOR THE PERIOD 1974 THROUGH 1978. CURRENT CAPABILITIES IN FLORIDA ARE REVIEWED, FOLLOWED BY A COST BENEFIT ANALYSIS OF PROPOSED CRIMINALISTICS SYSTEMS. FUNDING AND IMPLEMENTATION SCHEDULES ARE PROPOSED IN KEEPING WITH THE RECOMMENDATIONS OF THE NATIONAL ADVISORY COMMISSION ON CRIMINAL JUSTICE STANDARDS AND GOALS.
