This document provides an overview of no-cost, federally sponsored training programs to counter or respond to cybercrime, and additional resources.

Abstract

This brief document lists no-cost, federally sponsored training programs available to law enforcement personnel. Each program listed includes a brief description and a link to at least one corresponding website. Programs include: FBI Cyber, the Cyber Investigator Certification Program (CICP); FBI Cyber Shield Alliance; the National Initiative for Cybersecurity Careers and Studies (NICCS); National Computer Forensics Institute (NCFI); the Federal Law Enforcement Training Centers (FLETC) Cyber Division; the FEMA’s (Federal Emergency Management Agency) National Training and Education Division (NTED); SEARCH Online Learning Portal Cyber Training, a nonprofit organization that provides technical, policy, and operational assistance and training to justice and public safety agencies; and National White Collar Crime Center (NW3C). Additional resources and training include: the Law Enforcement Cyber Center (LECC); U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) Cyber Crimes Center; the Department of Justice Computer Crime and Intellectual Property Section CCIPS); and the Internet Crime Complain Center (IC3).
