Annotation

This study examined whether weapon carrying influenced the frequency and variety of violent, property, and drug delinquency adolescents committed, using fixed-effects analyses of data from the Rochester Youth Development Study (RYDS).

Abstract

The study found that weapon carrying contributed to violent, substance, and property delinquency, and delinquent behaviors learned during weapon-carrying continued to affect substance and property delinquency long after weapon-carrying had ceased. (publisher abstract modified)
