Abstract
BACKGROUND INFORMATION INCLUDES A DISCUSSION OF THE NON-UNIFORMITY OF STATE EVWL LAWS, AN ENUMERATION OF THE FACTORS RELEVANT TO THE CHOICE OF AN EVWL CONFIGURATION, AND A LIST OF MANUFACTURERS AND DISTRIBUTORS. A BACKGROUND IS GIVEN ON PERCEPTION OF EVWL SIGNALS, AND PERCEPTUAL FACTORS AFFECTING SIGNAL CONSPICUITY ARE DISCUSSED. PHYSICAL MEASUREMENTS ON EVWL UNITS ARE DESCRIBED. A GLOSSARY IS PROVIDED TO AID IN THE UNDERSTANDING OF TECHNICAL LITERATURE.
