FOR THE GENERAL PRISON POPULATION, PROFILES ARE LISTED FOR THE TYPICAL INMATE, FOR A WHITE MALE INMATE, A WHITE FEMALE INMATE, A BLACK MALE INMATE AND BLACK FEMALE INMATE. SIMILAR PROFILES ARE GIVEN FOR EACH MAJOR INSTITUTION.
