THIS FIRST ANNUAL REPORT ON THE STATE OF THE JUDICIAL SYSTEM OUTLINES THE WORK AND ACTIVITIES OF THE REVISED FLORIDA COURT SYSTEM WHICH WAS IMPLEMENTED IN JANUARY 1973.
Abstract
THE REPORT SUMMARIZES THE REFORM PROCESS BY WHICH THE NEW COURT SYSTEM WAS ESTABLISHED, AS WELL AS THE MANNER IN WHICH THE CASE DISPOSITION REPORTING SYSTEM EVOLVED AS THE VEHICLE FOR COLLECTING AND ANALYZING VARIOUS TYPES OF MANAGEMENT INFORMATION USED IN THE ADMINISTRATION OF THE COURTS. A STATISTICAL ANALYSIS OF CASELOADS, FILINGS, AND DISPOSITIONS IS PROVIDED FOR THE SUPREME COURT, THE DISTRICT COURTS OF APPEAL, THE STATE TRIAL COURTS, THE CIRCUIT COURTS, AND THE COUNTY COURTS.
