General types of programs described pertain to training academies, auto theft prevention, community-based enforcement, community-oriented policing, community relations, diversion programs, drug abuse education, drug and crime task forces, drug and crime task forces, drug and crime enforcement, gang prevention and elimination, general crime prevention, improvements in police service and management, mascots, patrol services, police-assisted community enhancement, police-school partnerships, repeat offender programs, social services, traffic safety, and victim assistance. Programs included under the topic of "Other Programs" pertain to alcohol awareness/bartender licensing, a confrontation prevention squad, and a senior volunteer program.
