Abstract

This solicitation overview requests applications to the FY 2024 Connect and Protect: Law Enforcement Behavioral Health Response Program. State, county, city, township, or Native American tribal governments (federally recognized); public- and state-controlled institutions of higher education; and special district governments may apply. Nonprofit or for-profit mental health agencies are eligible if they provide services as a unit of the state or local government. All applications require a demonstrated partnership through a draft Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between a justice entity and a mental health partner. BJA encourages agencies that have not previously received BJA funding and convening or governing bodies that can apply on behalf of one or more entities to apply.
