This Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA) publication is a solicitation overview for applications for Second Chance Act Community-based Reentry Program funding.

Abstract

This Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA) solicitation overview provides information for potential applicants for Second Chance Act Community-based Reentry Program funding. Native American tribal governments (federally recognized) and nonprofits having a 501(c)(3) status with the IRS, other than institutions of higher education, may apply. Successful applicants will receive funding to enhance or implement evidence-based responses to improve reentry, reduce recidivism, and support successful transitional planning for individuals who are currently, or were formerly, involved in the criminal justice system. BJA encourages agencies that have not previously received BJA funding and convening or governing bodies that can apply on behalf of one or more entities to apply.
