The California Office of Criminal Justice Planning (OCJP) provides financial and technical assistance to agencies throughout the State to preserve public safety and to support services for crime victims through a more effective criminal justice system.
Abstract
Among its responsibilities, the OCJP develops state-of-the-art approaches for justice systems, crime prevention, and victim services programs; provides technical assistance to ensure effective program management; disseminates information on successful program models; conducts conferences and seminars on issues of criminal justice interest; conducts research and crime analyses; and develops publications on crime prevention. This document summarizes the Office's grant programs and services provided through its various branches: Anti-Drug Abuse, Gang Violence Suppression, Juvenile Delinquency and Crime Prevention, Monitoring and Program Effectiveness, Program Training and Technical Support, Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence, and Victim/Witness. This document also lists OCJP resources and agency contacts.
