Abstract
This annotated bibliography from the U.S. Department of Justice, National Institute of Corrections (NIC), presents information on resources for use by criminal justice professionals and community members interested in green corrections. Green corrections involves the development of programs or methods for saving money by reducing waste and energy while at the same time maintaining the security of correctional facilities. The resources listed in this bibliography are suitable for administrators and professionals in all areas of corrections as well as their partners in the education and social services fields. The resources are divided into five primary sections: Education, Facility Management, Operations, Training and Programs, and Genera Green Corrections. The resources listed in the bibliography can be obtained through the Internet, from the NIC Information Center, directly from the authors, or by ordering them.
