These guidelines are designed to assist localities in Virginia in their development and implementation of community diversion projects.
Abstract
The guidelines cover the community corrections resources board, financial management, organizational components (project administrator, project coordinator, probation and parole officer, and service provider), the referral process, and eligibility determination and intake. Also considered are diagnostic evaluations, the termination process, regional review, central review, and project evaluation. Appendixes provide supplementary material for several of the chapters in the manual.
