Abstract

In this second episode of Just Science Podcast’s Resilient Leadership mini-season, the host, Ben Swanholm, interviews Henry Maynard about the American Society of Crime Laboratory Directors (ASCLD) Forensic Research Committee (FRC), which includes several global programs with the objective of connecting forensic research practitioners with academic researchers, and through that collaboration, improving the quality of forensic research. The guest describes how the FRC helps to improve the quality of forensic research as well as how people can sign up for programs within the FRC, and key elements for creating an effective forensic science working group. Maynard also discusses his career path, his efforts to impact the forensic community, and the ASCLD leadership academy.
