Abstract
THE INFORMATION CONTAINED WITHIN THIS SUPPLEMENTAL REPORT REFLECTS A PROFILE OF THE ADULT INMATE POPULATION IN CUSTODY AS OF SEPTEMBER 30, 1977. STATISTICS ON CONVICTIONS DEAL WITH THESE TOPICS: A SUMMARY OF PREVIOUS FELONY CONVICTIONS BY SEX; ROBBERY OFFENDERS, AS THE MOST FREQUENT PERSON OFFENSE; BURGLARY OFFENDERS, AS THE MOST FREQUENT PROPERTY OFFENSE; DRUG OFFENDERS, AS THE MOST FREQUENT OTHER OFFENSE; AND CONVICTIONS COMPARED TO INMATE AGES, MOST SERIOUS OFFENSE, AND COUNTY OF CONVICTION. INCARCERATION STATISTICS TREAT THE FOLLOWING SUMMARY OF PREVIOUS ADULT INCARCERATIONS BY SEX; PREVIOUS ADULT INCARCERATIONS BY INSTITUTION, BY RACE, ROBBERY OFFENSE, BURGLARY OFFENSE, AND DRUG OFFENSE; AND MOST SERIOUS PERSON, PROPERTY, AND OTHER CRIME AT ADMISSION. STATISTICS ON INMATE PROGRAM NEEDS ARE INDICATED BY EDUCATIONAL-VOCATIONAL PROGRAM NEEDS, PROGRAM COUNSELING NEEDS, AND PSYCHIATRIC HEALTH NEEDS.
