The two discuss the NIJ Graduate Research Fellowship Program application process, Dr. Garcia’s experience as a fellow while attending Temple University, and advice for future applicants. The goal of the program is to increase the number of scholars engaged in research that addresses the challenges of crime and justice in the U.S.; it supports PhD students at accredited academic institutions whose dissertation research is relevant to crime or juvenile justice. Program eligibility is open to all disciplines.
