THIS REPORT DESCRIBES THE LIVINGSTON COUNTY JAIL INMATE REHABILITATION PROGRAM AND AN ARCHITECTURAL PLAN TO CENTRALIZE ITS ACTIVITIES AND PROVIDE SUFFICIENT SPACE WHILE CONFORMING WITH (MI) STATE JAIL RULES.
Abstract
COMPONENTS OF THE REHABILITATION PROGRAM UNDER CONSIDERATION INCLUDE EDUCATION; COUNSELING IN PERSONAL PROBLEMS; VOCATIONAL COUNSELING; PHYSICAL AND MENTAL HEALTH; HOUSING; RECREATION; AND SUBSTANCE ABUSE COUNSELING. THE ARCHITECTURAL PLAN IS DESCRIBED AND A BLUEPRINT IS PROVIDED. INMATE POPULATION TRENDS ARE ANALYZED AND APPLICABLE STANDARDS FOR JAIL CONSTRUCTION AND OPERATION ARE DISCUSSED IN RELATION TO THE PLAN.
