This report presents findings of an inspection of county jails in Maine for 1980.
Abstract
Results of the inspection are shown for 14 county jails. Topics covered include jail population, jail administration, food service, sanitation, custody and security, adult females, juveniles, inmate control and discipline, medical and health services, and inmate activities and programs. Other inspection items are religious services offered, recreation, commissary, work release, educational release, inmate rights, and building and equipment. In addition, the physical condition of the facilities are rated.
