THE MODEL IS DESIGNED OUT OF THE BELIEF THAT, WITH PROPER INPUT OF SIGNIFICANT INFORMATION ON OFFENDERS, PROBLEMS WHICH CONTRIBUTE TO THEIR DEVIANCE CAN BE IDENTIFIED AND PROGRAMS DEVISED TO AID SOCIALIZATION.
Abstract
THE PROJECT IDENTIFIES THE OFFENDER, HIS REASON FOR BEING IN PRISON, THE NATURE OF HIS PROBLEMS AND POTENTIAL FOR CHANGE. AREAS WHERE HE CAN BE HELPED TO HELP HIMSELF ARE DETERMINED ALONG WITH WHERE HE CAN BEST HELP HIMSELF. HIS RATE OF PROGRESS IS PREDICTED AND ASSESSED AT VARIOUS STAGES IN THE TRACKING SYSTEM. THE PROJECT REPORT DISCUSSES IN DETAIL EACH PHASE OF THIS CLASSIFICATION AND TRACKING SYSTEM. THE METHOD FOR EVALUATING THE PROJECT IS ALSO EXPLAINED. INTERIM EVALUATION OF THE PROJECT WILL MEASURE EFFORT AND PERFORMANCE AND MEASUREMENTS OF ADEQUACY WILL BE EMPLOYED AS SOON AS EVIDENCE OF PROGRAM VALUE TO CLIENTS AND MANAGEMENT BECOMES APPARENT....RCB
