Abstract
PLANNING TECHNIQUES AND METHODS OF INSTRUCTION ARE COVERED, AS WELL AS INSTRUCTOR SELECTION, COURSE SCHEDULING, FACILITY REQUIREMENTS, AND TRAINING EQUIPMENT. A SUGGESTED CURRICULUM FOR RECRUIT TRAINING IS OFFERED TOGETHER WITH AN APPROPRIATE BIBLIOGRAPHY AND LIST OF TRAINING FILMS FOR EACH SUBJECT. GUIDELINES ARE PROVIDED FOR CONDUCTING FIELD, IN-SERVICE, MANAGEMENT, AND JAIL SUPERVISION TRAINING. THE MANUAL IS DESIGNED FOR THE NEEDS OF BOTH LARGE AND SMALL DEPARTMENTS.
