THIS FEASIBILITY STUDY, DATED JANUARY 23, 1976, WAS PREPARED FOR THE MERCER COUNTY SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT, WHOSE 22 PERSONNEL (17 SWORN) PROVIDE POLICE SERVICES TO 36,903 PERSONS ON 471 SQUARE MILES.
Abstract
THE REPORT RECOMMENDS THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A CENTRALIZED RECORDS AND COMMUNICATIONS CENTER FOR MERCER COUNTY. IT ALSO SUGGESTS THAT FINAL PLANNING BE DONE BY A JOINT LAW ENFORCEMENT COUNCIL. UNIFORM CRIME REPORT STATISTICS ARE PRESENTED FOR MERCER COUNTY.
