The report discusses the operations and research and development activities of the Michigan Law Enforcement Officers Training Council during 1979-80.
Abstract
It presents the number of workshops and meetings held and the council's budget and notes that the council includes an operations unit to oversee the council-mandated basic training system, a unit to implement career development training programs, and a unit to monitor newly implemented preemployment training. The council is also developing a standards information system and investigating employment standards violations and State complaints. Tables list the number of career development certificates issued by rank, the number of graduates of advanced police training by department, and other data. Appendixes list academy enrollment prerequisites and minimum employment standards for Michigan law enforcement officers.
