INFORMATION IS PROVIDED FOR THE FORMULATION AND UTILIZATION OF LESSON PLANS FOR LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICER TRAINING.
Abstract
THE NEED FOR A STATE-WIDE STANDARDIZED POLICE TRAINING PROGRAM HAS BEEN RECOGNIZED IN THE STATE OF MICHIGAN. THE PRESENT TRAINING PROGRAM EMPLOYED BY VARIOUS AGENCIES WITHIN THE STATE IS EVALUATED AND RECOMMENDATIONS MADE TOWARD THE REALIZATION OF A MORE COMPREHENSIVE STANDARDIZED PROGRAM. AN APPENDIX PROVIDES SAMPLES OF CURRENTLY USED LESSON PLANS IN SEVERAL CITIES AND A PROPOSED EXTENDED BASIC POLICE TRAINING CURRICULUM. 10 REFERENCES.
