          Abstract
The program aims to provide students with enough clear, accurate information that they can reevaluate their past decisions to drink or use illicit drugs and change their behaviors or seek treatment if they are chemically dependent. The manual can be used either as a reference guide or as a detailed lesson plan. Topics include substances of abuse and their effects, the effects of substance use on driving skills, the progression of chemical dependency, and life skills like decisionmaking skills and refusal skills. Instructor's guidelines, sample forms, administrative guidelines, and lists and samples of resource materials.
