Abstract
A PROFILE OF THE LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICER IN THE STATE OF MONTANA IS PRESENTED. THIS PROFILE CONCENTRATES ON PERSONNEL DATA, PARTICULARLY TRAINING EXPERIENCE, ACTIVITIES AND TIME SPENT ON THEM, AND ON LAW ENFORCEMENT SKILLS. THESE DATA WERE GATHERED WITH A QUESTIONNAIRE ON WHICH THE RESPONDENTS COULD COMMENT ON TRAINING AND SELECTION NEEDS AND PRIORITIES.
