A LIMITED ANALYSIS OF A SURVEY OF AUTOMATED CRIMINAL JUSTICE INFORMATION SYSTEMS IN 153 STATE AND LOCAL JURISDICTIONS AND A DISCUSSION OF PROBLEMS ENCOUNTERED IN THE DATA COLLECTION EFFORT.
Abstract
ONE HUNDRED PERCENT OF THE SURVEY QUESTIONNAIRES WERE RETURNED THANKS TO LEAA SUPPORT AND FOLLOW-UP PHONE CALLS. A LIST OF DATA ELEMENTS USED IN PREPARING THE SURVEY DATA FOR COMPUTER ANALYSIS IS PRESENTED. OVER 400 INFORMATION SYSTEMS ARE REPRESENTED. PERCENTAGES OF THE TYPES OF SYSTEMS AND THEIR REGIONAL LOCATIONS ARE GIVEN A LIST OF JURISDICTIONS SURVEYED COMPLETES THE REPORT.
