This budget summary is the companion volume to the Federal government's National Drug Control Strategy and explains the funding for each of the activities in the national plan for fiscal year 1992.
Abstract
The first section details Federal funding priorities and resource requirements. The second section provides descriptions of the fiscal year 1992 budget requests for each of the approximately 50 agencies and accounts that make up the National Drug Control Budget. The final section provides additional information on funding and employment levels, including historical funding levels for 1981 through the President's request for 1992. Funding is requested for the criminal justice system; drug treatment; education, community action, and the workplace; international initiatives; border interdiction and security; research; and intelligence.
