FINAL REPORT ON A PROJECT TO PROVIDE DISTRICT COURT JUDGES AND DISTRICT ATTORNEYS FOR VARIOUS JUDICIAL DISTRICTS WITH THIRD YEAR LAW STUDENT AIDES DURING THE SUMMER OF 1971.
Abstract
THE PURPOSE OF THE PROGRAM WAS TO PROVIDE STUDENTS WITH A PRACTICAL OPPORTUNITY TO LEARN ABOUT THE WORKINGS OF THE COURTS AND DISTRICT ATTORNEY'S OFFICE. SIXTEEN STUDENTS WORKED ON INDIVIDUAL RESEARCH PROJECTS AND PARTICIPATED IN A STATISTICAL CASELOAD STUDY OF THE DISTRICT COURTS. THIS REPORT CONSISTS OF A BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE PROGRAM PLUS AN EXTENSIVE APPENDIX CONTAINING PROGRAM DATA, SAMPLE FORMS, PROGRAM EVALUATION LETTERS FROM PARTICIPATING JUDGES, AND PUBLICITY REGARDING THE PROGRAM.
