Abstract
THE ACTIVITIES OF THE FOLLOWING DIVISIONS ARE DISCUSSED: APPEALS, INVESTIGATIONS, WARRANTS AND COMPLAINTS, TRIALS, MAGISTRATE COURT, CHILDREN'S COURT, ADMINISTRATION, AND CONSUMER PROTECTION. STATISTICS ARE GIVEN ON TOTAL OFFENSES AND DEFENDANTS CHARGED, TRIAL ACTIVITIES, CONVICTIONS, ACQUITTALS, DISMISSALS, MISTRIALS, TRIAL LENGTHS, SECOND-COUNT DISPOSITIONS, GUILTY PLEAS TO CHARGES AND NEGOTIATED CHARGES, MENTAL COMMITMENTS, EXTRADITIONS, AND PROBATION REVOCATIONS. THE REPORT ALSO DISCUSSES THE PRE-PROSECUTION PROBATION PROGRAM, PUBLIC APPEARANCES, THE PROPOSED ECONOMIC CRIMES UNIT, AND THE PROPOSED REPEAT OFFENDERS PROSECUTION UNIT.
