THIS NARRATIVE AND STATISTICAL REPORT EXAMINES THE ACTIVE FOSTER CARE CASELOAD FOR SUCH FACTORS AS MEDIAN NUMBER OF YEARS UNDER FOSTER CARE, TYPE OF FOSTER CARE, AND TOTAL TIME IN CARE BY AGE OF THE CHILD.
Abstract
COMPARATIVE STATISTICS ARE OFFERRED WHICH CONTRAST THE TOTAL TIME IN CARE FOR THE NEW YORK CITY FOSTER CARE POPULATION TO THE TOTAL FOSTER CARE TIME FOR CHILDREN IN THE REST OF NEW YORK STATE, AND IN THE STATE AS A WHOLE. ALSO, INFORMATION ON THE PERCENTAGE OF CHILDREN IN CARE FIVE YEARS OR MORE AND TEN YEARS OR MORE IS INDICATED BY AGE AND TYPE OF CARE.
