This initial report describes and presents statistics on the Ohio crime victim reparations (compensation) program. It also evaluates the expected liability for reparations claims filed from December 28, 1976, through December 1978.
Abstract
The report includes a review of the various State agencies involved in the reparations program and statistics on claims activity and on expenditures from the reparations special account. Appendixes include a listing of court costs collected for deposit in the reparations special account, a chronological list of claims decisions, a summary of claims processing procedures, and related information. Footnotes and numerous tables are included.
