GRANT FUNDS WERE USED TO EXPAND RECRUIT, ADVANCED, AND POLICE INSTRUCTOR TRAINING COURSES AND TO ESTABLISH QUALIFICATIONS FOR POLICE CERTIFICATION.
Abstract
THE BOARD ON POLICE STANDARDS AND TRAINING ALSO PROVIDED ASSISTANCE TO REGIONAL TRAINING COUNCILS BY ESTABLISHING SPECIAL TRAINING SCHOOLS. THE BOARD DETERMINED THAT EXISTING LAW ENFORCEMENT NEEDS JUSTIFIED PLANS FOR A STATEWIDE POLICE ACADEMY AND MADE PROGRESS IN ORGANIZING A STATE POLICE OFFICERS ASSOCIATION.
