Abstract
TARGET POPULATION OF 200 INDIVIDUALS IDENTIFIED AS PRINCIPALS AND ASSOCIATES OF MAJOR CRIME FAMILIES WAS SELECTED FOR STUDY. THE OBJECTIVE WAS TO DESCRIBE AND ASSESS THE CHARACTER AND MAGNITUDE OF THEIR INFILTRATION INTO PRIVATE ECONOMY, WITH SPECIAL ATTENTION TO THEIR GROWTH PROSPECTS AND HENCE TO THEIR ULTIMATE ECONOMIC AND SOCIAL IMPACT.
