The Prescription Drug Monitoring Program Training and Technical Assistance Center (PDMP TTAC) reports 2020 data and 2021 features of the Colorado State PDMP.

 

Abstract

Colorado’s PDMP name is Prescription Drug Monitoring Program, which is managed by the Colorado State Board of Pharmacy. The PDMP email address and website URLs are provided for the register, query, data-upload, opioid- dashboard, training, statute/regulation, and opioid guidelines websites. Contact information is provided for the PDMP Program Analyst and the Program Director.  Statistics for the year 2020 are reported to be 5,782.171 for the state population; 35,520 for DEA-registered prescribers; and 982 DEA-registered dispensers. Seven data transmitters are listed. Substances monitored are Schedules II-V. An alternate data source is registrant disciplinary history/status. Sixteen types of available reports are listed. Seven statistical capabilities are checked. A total of 41 authorized PDMP users are listed, and 31 engaged PDMP users are listed. The total annual budget for the PDMP is $625,589.00. The PDMP has one full-time staff person and one part-time. Funding sources are a CDC grant and licensing fees. A total of 11 technologies are used by the PDMP.
