Training is required for prescribers and dispensers prior to PDMP use. Information required for PDMP accounts is provided. Law enforcement agency access to patient information requires an active investigation. Criteria are outlined for a PDMP query. Prescribers and dispensers are not required to enroll with the PDMP, but prescribers are required to use the PDMP. Veterinarian requirements are provided for using the PDMP. Data are monitored on drugs listed in Schedules II-IV and for naloxone/narcan administrations. Technological capabilities of the PDMP are listed, and a chart shows requestors and reports authorized for production by the PDMP.
