This volume presents brief descriptions of 51 programs providing specialized services to institutionalized youths in one or more of six categories: reentry planning, academic or vocational education, violent offenders, mental health, physically or sexually abused, and substance abusers.
          Abstract
The programs are examples of the types of services available to youth in correctional institutions throughout the United States. Programs were identified through responses to letters sent to juvenile and adult correctional administrators in all the States and from followup telephone calls. For each program, the address, telephone number, and contact person are listed. A summary of the program describes its philosophy, goals, target population, services, staffing, and funding.
