This manual presents step-by-step instructions and forms to be used by personnel of the U.S. Department of the Navy in processing a criminal complaint or other significant incident.
Abstract
Individual forms include the incident/complaint report, the voluntary statement, the suspect's acknowledgment and waiver of rights, authorization for search and seizure, evidence tags and tapes, and the receipts for property or evidence taken into custody. Other forms are designed for cases of telephoned threats, traffic accidents, intoxication, stolen vehicles, interview and interrogation, field tests, release of medical information and records, abandoned vehicles, and vehicle impoundment.
