This curriculum was designed by California's Commission on Peace Officer Standards and Training and law enforcement trainers and criminal justice educators to train police officers in the handling of sex crimes.
Abstract
The curriculum covers assault and intent to commit a felony, indecent exposure, oral copulation, sodomy, incest, registered sex offenders, rape, spousal rape, penetration with a foreign object, and sexual battery. Elements of each crime are listed, relevant sections of California's penal code are cited, and performance objectives to be accomplished by police officers are identified.
