This report focuses on the resource appropriations and program expenditures of the United Nations African Institute for the Prevention of Crime and the Treatment of Offenders for the period between July 1990 and June 1992.
Abstract
The present status of operations is discussed in terms of host facilities, staffing, and program activities. The latter category consists of management and administration, training and human resource development, research and policy development, information and documentation, advisory services to governments, and joint activities with other UN and external agencies. The Institute's funding sources include assessed financial contributions of the African member states, the UN Development Program, the Economic Commission for Africa, the UN regular budget, and the UN crime prevention and criminal justice network. This report also describes the Institute's other fundraising activities and its governing board. 7 appendixes
