Abstract

This solicitation overview provides grant information and resources for entities that may be interested in funding assistance from the Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA), for the planning and implementation of Comprehensive Opioid, Stimulant, and Substance Use Program-related efforts. The grant will provide funding for training and technical assistance (TTA) as part of a collaborative support to the Comprehensive Opioid, Stimulant, and Substance Use site-based Program (COSSUP). TTA providers will support COSSUP grantees in the planning, development, and implementation of comprehensive efforts to identify, respond to, treat, and support people impacted by the use and misuse of opioids, stimulants, and other substances. The overview notes eligible applicants as being for-profit organizations, whether or not they are small businesses; non-profits, whether or not they have a 501(c)(3) status with the IRS, other than high education institutions; private institutions of higher education; public and state-controlled institutions of higher education. The document provides details on the maximum amount of funding per award and lists examples of strategies or activities that can be funded, as well as where to get more information about the grant opportunity. The document also lists five tips for submitting a successful grant application, with details about how and when to apply; it notes that the System for Award Management (SAM) registration or renewal may take up to 10 business days.
