          Abstract
This sourcebook, developed by the Florida Department of Juvenile Justice, provides a listing of delinquency interventions aimed at reducing recidivism and major dynamic risk factors of juvenile offending. The interventions are separated into three categories and are listed in the sourcebook in rank-order based on the extent to which they have been rigorously evaluated. The three categories are Evidence-based Practices, Promising Practices, and Practices with Demonstrated Effectiveness. The top five Evidence-based Practices are Adolescent Community Reinforcement Approach, Aggression Replacement Training, Cannabis Youth Treatment, EQUIP, and Functional Family Therapy. The top five Promising Practices are Brief Strategic Family Therapy, Bullying Prevention Programs, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Family Behavior Therapy, and Functional Family Parole. The top five Practices with Demonstrated Effectiveness are ARISE, ARISE Life-Skills, Big Brothers Big Sisters Mentoring Program, Corrective Thinking (Truthought), Crossroads Juvenile Offender Curricula, and Girls Circle. Interventions are added or removed from the sourcebook as new research demonstrates the level of effectiveness of the approach. The information provided for each intervention includes an overview of the intervention, program contact information, program author, location of the program, criminogenic need addressed by the intervention, treatment setting, intended population, training, and certification.
