This report offers examples of efforts by the National Rifle Association (NRA), the firearms industry, and other members of the gun lobby to create a youth gun culture.
Abstract
The first section of the report presents quotes from the gun lobby regarding efforts to recruit children and youth into America's gun culture. The second section contains copies of advertisements, articles, and photographs illustrating efforts by the NRA and the firearms industry to engage youth in the gun culture. The third section reviews the details of school shootings over the past 2 years, while the fourth section provides a brief overview of Colorado's gun laws, as well as statistics on firearms deaths in the State. 21 footnotes
