Intended to assist State and local policymakers in developing comprehensive State legislative drug strategies, this volume presents background information together with uniform and model drug laws recommended for the 1990's.
Abstract
The recommended laws include the Uniform Controlled Substances Act, the Model Asset Seizure and Forfeiture Act, the Model Denial of Federal Benefits Act, a State Driver's and Professional License Suspension Act, and a State Drug Precursor Control Act. For each type of statute, an introductory explanation, statutory language, a summary, an overview of crucial provisions, an analysis of relevant legal issues, provisions of selected existing State laws, hypothetical examples illustrating the law's application, and appended reference and background information are included.
