Abstract
THE RESEARCH WAS DESIGNED TO IDENTIFY THE TRAITS OF INDIVIDUALS WHO PERSIST IN COMMITTING CRIME. RESULTS INDICATED THAT THE TYPICAL REPEAT OFFENDER WAS YOUNG, BLACK, A CITY RESIDENT, POORLY EDUCATED, BELOW AVERAGE INTELLIGENCE AND A BURGLAR.
