This paper reviews features of a comprehensive community counterterrorism prevention and response strategy.

Abstract

The strategy 1) provides a unique insight into the level of interaction between the community and the local law enforcement on the issue of preventing and responding to terrorist activities; 2) provides a template for law enforcement training that can be customized for the interested forces;  3) provides insight into the connections between home-grown terrorism and the preventive/proactive role of the local law enforcement; and 4) provides an additional academic title (one of the few available) for the courses that overview the comparative/international aspects of terrorism.
